How this works
1) Fill out the inquiry form on this page.
2) If you seem like a good fit for our mission, our team will reach out, send you more information, and ask you to look it over and pray with it.
3) If you discern you’d like to move forward in leading, we will set up an onboarding meeting.
4) In our next sorting period, you’ll be assigned a small group and added to our community of leaders for additional support.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
No. While the majority of our participants and moderators are Catholic, you do not have to be to moderate a group. Our curriculum follows the teachings of the Catholic Church and moderators are asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that is the case. However, Magdala is geared generally toward women of faith striving to live a life for Christ.
-
Each group goes through our 17-session curriculum, meeting twice a month on average. Each session lasts about an hour and a half. The whole program lasts about 10 months.
In addition to meeting with your group twice a month for the 17 sessions, moderators are asked to be available for one-on-one calls with their participants as much as their schedules allow. -
Moderators are given a series of resources and formation tools to assist their groups. Along with the exclusive Magdala Slack channel for greater community among moderators, you’ll also receive an online training platform through our curriculum, ongoing formation meetings, and ongoing mentorship from our leadership team.

When discerning if a volunteer is a good fit for Magdala, we’re looking at three main qualities:
Women who have experienced some level of sobriety and/or continued healing in their own journey with sexual addiction
Followers of Christ with a passion for women's freedom
Adult-age women who are selfless, generous, and ready to give
